EDEN Annual Conference 2026 in Porto, Portugal
14. Juni – 16. Juni

The ▶ EDEN Digital Learning Europe Annual Conference is returning to Porto, Portugal, on 14-16 June 2026, with a forward-looking theme: “Beyond Technology: Human-AI Collaboration for Learning and Teaching.” Hosted by the University of Porto’s Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, this flagship event invites educators, researchers, and institutional leaders from across Europe and beyond to explore how human–AI partnerships are reshaping education in inclusive, relational, and creative ways.
At the heart of the conference is a focus on the human and socio-emotional dimensions of AI-enhanced education (shifting the conversation from tools alone to how we collaborate with technology to enrich learning design, foster inclusion and uphold trust, integrity, and agency in educational practice).
Key themes include:
- Institutional transformation and capacity-building for human-AI integration
- Relational pedagogies and learner-centred design
- Teacher and learner wellbeing in an AI world
- Ethics, values and trust in digital education
- Innovative approaches to assessment, micro-credentials and research with AI tools
The programme will feature plenaries, action labs, parallel sessions, and interactive dialogues (along with an expanded Innovation Demo Lab track for hands-on showcases of promising approaches and prototypes in technology-enhanced learning). Accepted contributions will be published in the EDEN proceedings, with research papers eligible for the EDEN Best Research Paper Award in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair in Education and Technology for Social Change.
Registrations and paper submissions open on 15 January 2026, and early bird rates are available until 20 April 2026. Whether you are advancing digital learning research, leading institutional strategies, or exploring inclusive pedagogies, EDEN 2026 promises rich learning and networking opportunities at the intersection of humanity and intelligent technology.
